Ex-Samajwadi Party MLA Sent To 15 Years In Jail For 2014 Rape Case

Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh: A MP-MLA court here on Saturday condemned previous pastor Vijay Mishra to 15 years of detainment in a 2014 assault case, authorities said.

The court of judge Subodh Singh sentenced Vijay Mishra and forced a fine of ₹ 1.1 lakh, a big part of which will be given to the person in question, Region Government Direction Dinesh Kumar Pandey said.

 

In 2014, Vijay Mishra assaulted the one who was employed to perform at political assemblies, as per police.

 

The lady revealed the matter in October 2020, a couple of months after Vijay Mishra was captured for another situation, and a FIR was enlisted for the situation, they said.

 

In her grievance, the casualty said Vijay Mishra assaulted her on a few events, police said.

 

Mishra, a four-time MLA from the Gyanpur electorate in Bhadohi locale, has north of 83 bodies of evidence enrolled against him. He is presently stopped in Agra Focal Prison Police said this is the primary case where Vijay Mishra has been sentenced.

 

Vijay Mishra was chosen threefold from the electorate on a Samajwadi Party ticket and once when handled by the Nishad Party in 2017.
