Paradip: A CBI group on Thursday caught a specialist connected as the General Wellbeing Official at Odisha’s Paradip port for purportedly requesting and taking kickbacks of Rs 50,000 from a specialist of Distinction Transportation Organization.
The denounced has been distinguished as Rajendra Narayan Panigrahi.
As per reports, Panigrahi was discovered in the act while taking kickbacks cash from the Delivery organization specialist close to Bhuiyan Chhak in Paradip town in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur locale.
There have been a few objections against Panigrahi that as a wellbeing official at the port, he frequently coerced cash from different delivery specialists to inspect the medical issue of the team individuals from various boats mooring at the Paradip port.
Following up on an objection, the CBI detectives laid a snare to seize Panigrahi in the act and was captured when he was discovered taking a Rs 50,000 pay off yesterday.
Afterward, the CBI investigators looked through his administration home and a leased place of the Lodging Board and held onto a few records. Cash worth Rs 1 crore, unfamiliar alcohol, unfamiliar cigarettes, and unfamiliar scents of different brands were seized from Panigrahi’s ownership during the house look.
