Border Force Arrests 23 Bangladeshi Smugglers In Tripura

Apparently around 30 Bangladeshi dealers, partitioned into little gatherings, crossed the worldwide boundary to get a transfer of sugar from their partners on the Indian side.

 

Agartala: Upwards of 23 Bangladeshi dealers were captured by BSF from Samarganja in South Tripura region on Tuesday, an authority said.

The BSF troops likewise held onto more than 6,000 kg of sugar and 17 cell phones from them, he said.

 

“Following up on unambiguous data in regards to trans-line carrying of sugar, troops held up at Samarganj on Tuesday and captured 23 Bangladeshi bootleggers,” the BSF official said.

 

Apparently around 30 Bangladeshi dealers, isolated into little gatherings, crossed the global line to get a transfer of sugar from their partners on the Indian side.

 

“A sum of 6,250 kg of sugar, gathered in 125 packs, were recuperated from them, and 17 cell phones seized. Of the 23 captured, 22 are occupants of Feni locale, while one is from Chittagong in Bangladesh,” he said.

 

A FIR was enrolled, and afterward the caught Bangladeshi dealers were given over to the police for additional activity, he said.

 

There has been a spray in the trans-line pirating of sugar through the Indo-Bangladesh line in Tripura lately, the authority said.

 

Sixteen dealers were caught, while a sum of 5.49 lakh kg of sugar was seized in 2023 at the Indo-Bangladesh line in Tripura, he added.
