Assembly Election 2023 News Live Updates, November 13: Thanking the people for voting in favour of the BJP in phase 1 of the Assembly Elections, PM Modi declared the exit of Congress government in the state. “From phase 1 of Assembly polls, it is clear that the Congress rule will end in Chhattisgarh. I thank the people of Chhattisgarh for voting in favour of BJP in the first phase,” he said at a massive public rally in Mungeli. Continuing his campaign blitz, PM Modi is set to visit Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund and MP’s Barwani districts today to bolster the BJP’s polls prospects. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will campaign in MP’s Vidisha, Guna, Ashoknagar and Datia districts. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will hold road shows in Bhopal and later address rallies in Neemuch and Timarni districts.

Meanwhile, with eyes on returning to power, the BJP on Saturday unveiled its poll manifesto in Madhya Pradesh aiming to one-up the Congress that has promised own Indian Premier League team, an artificial intelligence centre, a promise to conduct the caste census and 27% OBC reservation among others. The BJP has promised free education for girls from poor families to up to post-graduation, procurement of wheat at Rs 2,700 and paddy at Rs 3,100 per quintal and cooking gas cylinders at Rs 450 for beneficiaries of the ‘Ladli Bahna’ and ‘PM Ujjwala’ schemes.

Addressing an election rally in Telangana’s Secunderabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday targeted the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) calling the party “anti-Dalit” and added that the Congress party was no less than that. He said the BRS has insulted BR Ambedkar by seeking a new Constitution and added that the ruling party has not protected the interests of Telangana. Stating that political parties and leaders in the state have betrayed SC community ‘Madigas’, PM Modi said he was “apologising for their sin.”
