New Delhi: Firemen protected 26 individuals, including a one-year-old youngster, while a lady kicked the bucket after a fire broke out at a private structure in eastern Delhi’s Shakarpur region, authorities said. Authorities further said there were 60 individuals in the structure when the fire broke out late Monday night.

“There were in excess of 60 individuals in the structure… Many individuals saved their lives by leaping out of the structure,” authorities said.

“One lady kicked the bucket after a fire broke out at a private structure in the Shakarpur area of East Delhi the previous evening. Fire unit arrived at the spot, protected 26 individuals and drenched the fire,’ according to Delhi Fire Administration authorities.

After getting the data, fire tenders arrived at the spot and began the salvage activities.

The fire was soaked following a couple of long stretches of firefighting, they said.

The fire work force safeguarded individuals individually by setting a stepping stool close to the window of the structure.
